Domestic Travel in South Africa

There are a number of airlines which offer flights between the main South African cities, as well as routes to most of the smaller cities. Each of the airlines offer varying prices and special offers which are largely dependent on the day of the week and time of day of the flight. You should be able to find a suitable flight and time from amongst the six providers.

There are several accredited Taxi operators at the Cape Town International Airport. You can expect to pay between R500 - R600 for a Taxi trip from the airport to the CTICC precinct.

Vehicle hire

All major international car hire companies are represented in South Africa. Recognised credit cards may be used for payment.  It is advised that you hire a car through your local travel agent, since there are special packages available for tourists from foreign countries that cannot be obtained if you rent within South Africa.

Parking at the CTICC

Should you be using you own transport, parking facilities are available at all the hotels at an additional cost. Parking facilities are available at the CTICC.  Delegates can either choose to pay per day depending on the number of hours the parking is used, or they can opt for a multi-access parking ticket at R40.00 per day. Please fill in this option on your registration form if you want to make use of the service.

Delegates are encouraged to take the opportunity to explore some of the interesting destinations in South Africa while visiting this exciting country. A tour operator will be appointed and details will be given on this page soon.
