Conference and Workshop Fees

All fees will be charged in South African Rands (ZAR). To obtain the current exchange rates and to convert the ZAR amounts into your own currency [Euros (€), GBP (£), USD ($), etc] go to The Universal Currency Converter. Please note: the currency conversions are for your budgeting purposes only - all payments must be specified as the ZAR (R) amounts.

 

Upon registration, delegates will receive an invoice with all the banking details of the conference account.  Payments can be made by means of direct deposit into the conference account, international money drafts, or by credit card (Visa or MasterCard).

Includes admittance to all plenary and concurrent sessions, all conference material including the Book of Abstracts, refreshments during the conference breaks, lunches and the welcoming function. Paying this fee will also ensure SARIMA membership for one year.

All delegates whose membership is fully paid up with SARIMA at the time of payment. If you are not sure about your membership, please confirm with the SARIMA secretary, Corline Kriel: sarima@sarima.co.za. This discount also applies to members of the INORMS sister organisations on condition that they are nominated by the relevant organisation to attend INORMS 2010. Nominations have to be sent to the conference secretariat (thereza@technoscene.co.za)

Cancellation Policy

Cancellation of registrations after payment has been made will be subject to the following rules:

Cancellation before 31 January : 25% of fees paid will be forfeited

Cancellation between 1 February and 31 March 2010: 50% of fees paid will be forfeited

Cancellation after 1 April 2010: 100% of fees paid will be forfeited

 

Bursary Support

  We are pleased to announce that there will be up to 22 bursaries available, to support the attendance of delegates from developing countries.

 

  • The Wellcome Trust Bursaries - will support the attendance of staff based in developing country institutions who would not otherwise have access to funding to attend the meeting

  • The ACU Bursaries - will support the attendance of staff from ACU member institutions based in developing countries

 

Please note: The bursaries will cover registration fees and accommodation costs for four nights only. Airfares and other costs will be met by the delegate.

 

How to apply

Bursary applicants should submit a 200-word statement describing how their work relates to the themes of the conference, how attendance will be useful to them in their future work, and detailing any particular interests amongst the topics to be covered. Preference will be given to applicants who are actively involved in the introduction or management of research management systems at their institutions.

 

Applicants should also supply the following details:

  • Name

  • Position

  • Department

  • Contact details

  • Details of any abstract/session or poster proposal already submitted to the congress organisers

The selection process will be coordinated by the research management team at the ACU.  Bursary applications should be submitted to resman@acu.ac.uk
