Sensors, MEMS and Electro-optic Systems (SMEOS) Conference 2009 This Conference was held at Skukuza, Kruger National Park South Africa from 7 – 9 September 2009
SMEOS 2009 is supported by the IEEE, South Africa Section
The South African SMEOS 2009 conference was held during 7- 9 September 2009 in Skukuza, Kruger National Park, South Africa. The conference focused on the field of sensors, with a scope ranging from detector devices (including materials and processing), through readout circuits, to electro-optical detector systems. The conference was intended to provide a common forum for international researchers and developers to exchange information about their latest research findings, ideas, developments and applications in all areas pertaining to design, fabrication and application of sensors, MEMS and electro-optical detector systems. Keynote addresses by eminent scientists were included in the conference, and original technical papers were invited for oral and poster presentations. Naturally, as this conference was in the Kruger Park, ample opportunity was given to delegates for sightseeing and enjoying the Park.
